Holiday Hangers Installation Instructions
(Read entire installation instructions and limited warranty
prior to installation. Click on the photos for enlarged view.)
|
Step 1: Mark out locations to install your "Holiday Hangers" Place your first mark 6" from the end of your fascia board on the bottom edge so as to avoid drilling into the end nailing. Then place a mark every two feet from that point, on the bottom edge of the fascia board. (NOTE: If your fascia board is less than 1.5" thick we recommend you install your Holiday Hangers in either your rafter tails or soffits. Do not use on aluminum or vinyl unless it is solid backed by wood. Not recommended
for use on vertical surfaces.)
|
Step 2: Drill pilot holes for "Holiday Hangers" Install the Holiday Hanger Driver Tool into your cordless drill. Slip on the Holiday Hanger Drill Bit and shift drill to "HIGH SPEED." Drill a hole at every mark you made in step #1 making sure to drill the entire depth of the drill bit and center it on the fascia board. (NOTE: for aluminum and vinyl siding, drill on high speed using low pressure. Once you have penetrated the siding, be sure to remove any aluminum that may be stuck on the tip of the drill bit prior to pushing on into the wood backing.)
| |
Step 3: Install "Holiday Hangers" recessed anchors Grab the Holiday Hanger Drill Bit by its round base and slide it off the driver tool. Be careful not to touch the drill bit itself because it may be very hot. Slide a Holiday Hanger recessed anchor onto the Driver Bit. Now switch your cordless drill to "LOW SPEED" and screw an anchor, as slowly as possible, into each of the holes you drilled in step #2. (Be careful not to overdrive the recessed anchor into the pilot hole. This may cause damage to the anchor, and it will have to be replaced.)
| |
Step 4: Hang your Holiday Lights and Decorations To install – simply insert one of the hooks provided and turn
90 degrees. The hook will now rest on the cross support, and you may hang your lights and decorations. To remove, simply take down your decorations. Then push the hook upward and turn 90
degrees. The hook will come out completely and may be stored until needed. The Holiday Hanger recessed anchors will barely be noticed when not in use. They can also be painted to match your
fascia boards, which will conceal them even more.
